Knights of Columbus

A message from the Grand Knight,

Give Your Time, Talent or Treasure, and Give Where it is Needed Most. Throughout the year we meet for fellowship, cook dinners for various church functions, conduct fundraising activities to raise monies to help with our monetary donations to the church, other charitable groups, and to support our own programs.

Knights of Columbus are committed to serving their families, church parishes and communities especially when it matters most. Together, we’re empowering Catholic men to live their faith at home, in their church parish, at work and in their community.

Why you should become a Knight: If you’re interested in helping those in need, serving our church parish, growing in your faith or having exclusive access to top-rated insurance protection for your family, then the Knights of Columbus is the organization for you.

Becoming a Knight of Columbus can transform your life. As a Knight, you have the opportunity to support our parish, give back to our community, grow in your faith and gain exclusive access to our top-rated insurance program to protect your family. These are just some of the reasons to become a Knight. Benefits of membership in the Knights of Columbus can be summed up in three areas: Faith, Stability, Service.

Faith: Grow in Faith with a band of brothers. Live out a masculine faith life with high caliber men. Act with men of the council to be a force for good in the world. Live out your vocation as a husband, son, or brother.

Stability: Gain exclusive access to our top-rated life insurance products, available only to members and their families. Our insurance agent is a Knight dedicated to helping his brother Knights protect their families. Know your money is safeguarded and invested according to Catholic principles.

Service: Aid your brothers in serving your parish. Serve your local community through programs like, Food for Families, Catholic Youth Leadership Award, Catholic Citizenship Essay Contest.  Support programs that benefit people with intellectual disabilities. Aid victims of natural disasters and other catastrophic events, local and worldwide. Donate wheelchairs to people without mobility at home. Stand up for the most vulnerable including the poor, orphaned, oppressed and unborn.

Bible Class

St. Joseph Church offers Bible Classes to the public. Classes will cover Old Testament and New Testament books as well as certain themes in the Bible such as salvation history and Christological typology. All classes are rooted in the teachings of the Catholic Church and help to serve as a way to teach the lay faithful about apologetics. Attendees will get a basic understanding of the Biblical roots of Catholic teachings and how the Bible is--and always was a Catholic Book.

Please see Calendar for dates and times.

Book Club

Our book club is a community dedicated to exploring the church’s teachings through the use of books and DVD’s by Catholic authors such as Matthew Kelly and Dr. Brant Pitre. We strive to create an engaging, respectful space for all members to share and grow in their faith. All are invited to attend the weekly book club meetings. Dates and times will be posted online and, in the bulletin, when scheduled.
